| SYNOPSIS |
The film documents habits in the relationship between the director and her manic depressive mum. The mother lives in a protected surburban community where she gets help from the council to maintain a functional life. On a personal level she struggles to carry out her role as a mother of two grown up children, as a mum in law and as a grandmother. In her own way she
insists on being part of the family!
She rings constantly and leaves long, elaborate messages on her daugther’s answering machine, creating a journal of her universe of thoughts. When she gets hospitalised a well known family routine sets in. |
